Perservering Flower
The flower that follows the sun does so even in cloudy days.
-Robert Leighton
If you need to get something done, never wait until tomorrow. No matter if you are tired and uninspired, because the moment you put action in what you love…your tiredness is energized and the uninspired laughs off their previous feeling.
An especially important warning for keeping your dream alive and well is not quitting on a emotional whim. A sour feeling can go awry and try to thwart your efforts. The less energy you put in it, the better.
Sometimes our emotions are like children, we must teach them what is appropriate. We can talk to our feeling like a child, ” Sorry buddy, I hear your upset, why don’t you go play in the sunshine while mommy works on her blog”. I know this is a funny concept, but I can’t stress more the need to redirect feelings that cause us to give up.
Have a great time working hard, embrace the tired, and
you will wake up eventually to be present in your work.
Practice your arts and passions everyday at least a little,
and your face will be to the sun even on cloudy days.
